Who Is KBSim

Knowledge Based Simulations Inc. (KBSim) is a small software company incorporated in the state of Virginia since 1996 with headquarters in Leesburg, Virginia.

All KBSim engineering staff have substantial experience within the computer technology field. This experience includes program management, systems engineering, and software development.

KBSim is primarily a systems engineering and software development company with a defined end-to-end seamless engineering process from knowledge acquisition through software development.

Our preferred methodology involves an architecture-centric, incremental development approach, including integral quality management.

KBSim’s main application areas of expertise are automated Information Needs Management (INM) with emphasis on Knowledge Management (KM) software architectures, and intelligent agent technologies. KBSim personnel have expertise in Object Oriented Conceptual Modeling (OOCM) for building large and/or complex systems.

To date, much of our work has been performed within the Research and Development (R&D) arena. We believe that engineering solutions/processes which we have successfully applied to the R&D sector could easily be transitioned to the commercial sector, which frequently grapples with many of the same issues (eg. information security, expansion, scaleability, etc...).
